Adapt a PVC patch file

Print

WHY DOES THE FILE NEED TO BE ADAPTED?

When making a customised PVC patch, it is important to be aware that not all images are immediately ready for production.
Some graphic details, such as colour gradients and details that are too small, may not be compatible with this technique, and therefore require adaptation of the image to allow for proper production.

Why is it necessary to adapt an image for PVC?

The production of PVC patches requires a metal mould, which entails certain technical limitations. Graphic adaptations are therefore necessary to enable processing.

Elements that can create problems:

Some graphic features are not compatible with PVC processing:
- Lines that are too thin - They risk not being visible in the finished product.
- Shading and colour gradients - Cannot be reproduced; PVC only foresees solid colours.
- Very small details - They may be barely legible or blurred.
- Extremely elaborate elements

Who does the file adaptation?

Graphic files that do not require any intervention are directly processed to create the 'molde', i.e. the patch mould, and go directly to the laboratory for final production. Obviously, this is the best and fastest solution that allows you to receive a patch that is faithful to the original design without the need for graphic processing of any kind

Small modifications

For small modifications, our workshop can intervene directly, at no extra cost. Once you have uploaded your file (1), you will receive a technical production file (2) with all the details and finishing touches. Please note: this file is not a graphic draft, and subsequent modifications may incur extra costs. Once approved, production of your patch (3) will begin.

Graphic Elaborations

When the original file (1) has one or more aspects that cannot be replicated, as seen, an adaptation (2) is necessary in order to produce the PVC patch.
In this case, we advise you to resend a file that respects the indicated characteristics or to rely on our professional graphic services.
Once the adaptation has been approved, a graphic design (3) is created, which will then go into production for the production of your patch (4).

Do you want to keep the original graphics? Choose printing on PVC

If you want to keep your design intact (1), printing on PVC is the ideal solution: it faithfully reproduces your design without compromise. The file does not have to be modified and is transferred exactly onto the patch. You can choose the shape - round, square or shaped - without converting the file to a specific PVC patch format. In addition, you can add PVC elements (2) and print only part of the patch (3), for a truly unique end result (4).
